Full Day Summer Camp – Maples: Ages 10-12

Returning in a new way is ICG’s camp uniquely designed for those who want to meet challenges and work in their community. Campers will work on creating a strong team in their camp experience and explore the role of food and resources in the Garden.

Two themes will be available but these goals weave through both: confidence building, leadership, and community engagement. ICG is excited for this new adventure and to see how campers grow in these weeks.

Campers must have completed 4th grade to join Maples.

There is no limit to the number of weeks to attend Maples.

June 27-July 1 or July 5-8 or July 11-15

Calling all artists, entrepreneurs, and green-thumbed individuals! This week we will be learning how to create and run the Children Garden’s very own Farm Stand.

Get ready to get your hands dirty and learn how to grow and cultivate produce in our local environment. Throughout the week we will try out different forms of crafting such as candle making and birdhouse building that we can use to grow our business. So join us in getting the Farm Stand up and running again in all its glory!

July 18-22 or July 25-29

This week we will be jumping in and trying our hand at some outdoor survival skills. Hone your fire building skills, use found parts to create shelters of your own design, and learn how to make natural remedies from plants commonly found in nature.

In between learning these skills, we will explore local hiking trails and observe the different plants and animals in these spaces. Come join us in connecting closely with the natural world around us and practice coexisting with nature in outdoor spaces.
