We are most fortunate to be anticipating the visit of Muhammad Shirazi, who has been engaged in medical disaster relief work with the Syrian American Medical Society. He has been traveling inside the war zones in major cities in Syria, bringing in medical aid, supplies and equipment to serve the civilian population in this war torn country. Following the dinner, he will share with us from his first hand experiences about what is really happening in the country and describe the nature of the crisis, the needs of the people, and the medical missions that are under way. His presentation will also focus on the responsibility that is shared by Muslims and all people who hold humanitarian concerns towards the victims of this ongoing conflict, and describe some of the opportunities that are available for people who wish to help.
